的 Office of Continuing Education and External Programs provides support for the development, implementation and management of both non-credit academic 程序, the oversight of students who wish to enroll in classes with our entering degree 程序s and off-campus academic activities. We work to continue growing as a unit which provides unique services for our university community.
Non-Degree Enrollment Process
This office works with individuals who would like to enroll into courses for continued education or personal or career advancement without the entry into a degree 程序. We process the non-degree application, work with you on the initial course enrollment and make ensure that you have the tools you will need to reach your educational and professional goals.

Continuing Education Application
BSU/PGCPS Dual Enrollment Program
Bowie State University and the Prince George's County Public School (PGCPS) system have an agreement to allow PGCPS students in their junior and senior years to enroll in college courses. Some of the courses available to students in the 程序 can serve to satisfy their high school graduation requirements. PGCPS will pay for the tuition of the students in the 程序 with the associated fees being the responsibility of the familty. Students who are in the Free and Reduced Meals (FARM) 程序 will also have their fees and tuition paid for by PGCPS.
冬天 and Summer School Sessions
This office works with the academic departments to develop and post the course schedule for both terms. We publicize the course offerings and work with the administration and faculty to insure a smooth and peaceful winter and summer.
Non-credit Courses and Programs
的 office will lead the university towards the development of a continuing education curriculum that can provide non-credit courses and 程序s to assist in the professional develop needs of our extended community.
的 投资组合 程序 offers students the opportunity to utilize their prior work experiences to satisfy the requirements of coursework. 的 程序 assists in accelerated time to degree by allowing students the option of not sitting through a class if they can document the manner in which their work experiences satisfy the objectives and outcomes of the class.
Weekend College for Conditional Licensed Teachers
的 Weekend-College: CLT is an extension of the Summer Institute: CLT. It is designed to support CLTs by providing weekend-long intensive courses pertinent to their transcript audit. Weekend courses are scheduled for Fridays: 5pm - 9pm and Saturdays & Sundays: 9am-6pm based on specific needs of enrolled CLTs.

Military Resource Center
的 Military Resource Center (MRC), our Veterans Center, is located in Suite 1126 of the Thurgood Marshall 图书馆. 在这里, students who have served or are currently serving in the military can find answers and solutions to issues, concerns and problems or a location to network and fellowship with colleagues and peers. 的 MRC serves as the point of contact for assistance in resolving issues and concerns associated with matriculating at BSU.
